I must be getting old and becoming weather-averse...I broke down and bought a trainer and it is demolishing my tire. Any suggestions?

Make sure it is:
A: in good contact with the roller. slippage is bad
B: is a hard rubber cheapo tire. I've had good luck with cheap Michelins and Vittoria's.
C: is not a Kenda. They generally suck
D: the roller is clean.

Riding over 30mph can also cause some problems.
