HELP! Carbon Cranks with a Narrow Q-angle
Quote | Reply
Anyone out there know who makes carbon cranks with a narrow Q-angle (or at least as narrow as Shimano cranks)???

I'm interested in the Profile elite cranks but have heard that the Q-angle is quite wider. I've also heard the same about the first few generations of FSA cranks?

Try the FSA's carbon team or superlight, not sure what the Q-factor is, but it's published on their site. These cranks have good ankle clearance, which is more important than the Q factor IMO.

It's nice that FSA lists their Q-angles; however, Shimano does not so I don't have numbers to compare.

Does the type of bottom bracket you chose change your Q-Angle or are all BB a standard size?

If I recall correctly Ritchy has a reputation for a low q-factor. They have recently started making a compact. I'll see if I can dig up some dirt. ...

Excel Sports has them. A good sight cheaper than the FSA's too (carbon cranks are a bad idea anyway).

The Stronglights might be a good option as well. Slowman has posted about Stronglight's narrow q-factor in the past.
