The fee will likely be $425 plus a nominal registration charge unless you happen to register in Panama city, so probably around $450 total. IMF is a great race, first or otherwise, but don't let the flat course fool you. It can be windy, and the flat terrain causes the same muscle groups to be used for hours on end. On rolling or hillier courses, at least the effort gets spread around.
