I just bought a new Giant XTC hardtail frame and am building it up. Can anyone tell me what size & configuration front derailleaur I need for this bike?

It takes a 27.2 seatpost (but with a shim), but all I know is that it needs a top-pull der. Anyone know the proper diameter and whether it should be top-swing or bottom-swing derailleur?
