gel flasks vs sachets

how many people just use sachets? is it much easier with a number of flaks rather than heaps of gels?

flasks for training and longer racing on the road. Xterra races, sachets as flasks fall off on the bike. Oly tris 50/50 flask or a single sachet on the bike.

I use flasks rather than the packets all the time. Unfortunately, my Kona experience two weeks ago showed me that this is not the best idea if it is really hot outside. My special Hammer gel/water/ecaps mixture was the most foul tasting concoction after a few hours of sitting in my bike to run transition bag and then being strapped onto my back. I ended up taking one gulp and then just took Gu at the aid stations. The mixture that I had on the bike wasn't as bad though.
