MartyG & Big Kahuna--thoughts on Great Floridan?
Congrats on your finish at the Great Floridan. Marty 9 OA in 10:38 and Kahuna 27 OA/1 AG in 11:27. I've only done IM Wisconsin, but GFT has a lot of appeal for 22 Oct 05. I appreciate your input here on Slowtwitch and would value your feedback on GFT. Care to share pros and cons of GFT, especially comments on the bike and run course.

Feedback on GFT from any other STers? Thanks.

Hi Bill, it is a good race with solid support. The bike course is challenging and there's a chance of strong winds like we had this year. There's also a good chance of a heat index in the high eighties to low nineties though it's been cooler on a few occasions. The areas around Clermont are being developed so traffic is growing. There is one section that can be a little unnerving with cars going by at 50mph+, but there is a shoulder/bike lane to ride on. The run has one significant hill and is then fairly flat from mile five on. Not much shade on the run. Great themed waterstops. The race course does change sometimes so none of this is guaranteed.
