Best website to read for the next month
In the lead up to the US Presidential election I'm wanting to read up as much as I can (even though I am not a voter).

I try and avoid the more shrill information sources - though they are good to look at occasionally to see what is being preached to the home crowd. I like to read the sites that intelligently look at the issues.

So my absolute favourite website at the moment (after slowtwitch of course) is:

www.factcheck.org

- Absolutely brilliant site which analyses what the politicians say and reports the facts, not the fiction. Everyone should look at this site.

What other websites in this vein do people recommend?

Though it's not a "new" link, and it has been mentioned several times here, I do like this one most .

http://news.bbc.co.uk/

I like their attempt to report objectively and from a different point of view, also on the US elections.

www.theonion.com - Even though the news is fake its really no worse than network TV.

I was listening to an ESPN editor yesterday talk about the difference between voters and sports fans. For sports fans its all about the numbers, how your team did on offense and defense, for voters its all about what the players (candidates) say. I thought that was the most truthful thing I'd heard in awhile.
