Out of true HED 3 - sold
I'm riding with a powertap now so I'm thinking of selling my 700 clincher HED3 which is slighty out of true (not sure how).

Here is a video clip of the wobble....

http://video.google.ca/...2479785&hl=en-CA

The wheel has 2 IMs and 3 1/2 IMs on it. Bearings are perfect and brake surfaces are 7/10.

The lateral wobble is about 3/16 of an inch.

What do you think its worth? Should I even bother selling it?

Thanks, Graham

I sold a 650c HED 3 here on Slowtwitch a couple of years ago that had been damaged. It had a small chunk of the carbon bashed in near the hub and had quite a wobble to it - hard to tell for sure but from the looks of your video mine was probably a little worse. I also posted a video with it spinning for people to see. As I recall used ones were going for $350 or on eBay at the time and I got $150 + shipping for it on here.

Thanks. Concensus via posts and pm's seems to be about $200 before shipping.

Anyone want a slightly wobbly HED3 rear clincher 700 for $200?

Graham

I am interested but as I asked earlier, is the wobble noticeable while riding?

Sorry, missed your question!

When I rode it, I couldnt feel any radial hop since most of the wobble is lateral. You can feel the pulsing when braking definately.

My buddy tried it and thought he could feel a bit of a hop. For what its worth, my perfectly true front HED3 has a greater radial hop and I cant feel that either.
