Which tubular tires to get for training ?
How much better are the S22 TUFO tires then say Hutchinson Tempo 1 ?
The price is about the same for the two. Could you list in order your top choices? I just got some old UFO tubular rims and I don't want to waste my money on cheep tires. I had tubular tires is the 70s and 80s on my PX10
and loved them . In northern N.Y. I don't have a flat problem with thorns and such. Thanks for your help Dirtball

The Tufo's are incredibly straight. The base tape is even and absorbant, and the valve stem has a removable core so that an extender can be used and the valve still able to be opened and closed, for my moeny the best tubular under $30 out there.

Lance rides Hutchinsons, so I'm sure he'd give their ringing endorsement.

Not much to add to superDave's recommendation. Tufo makes a lot of tyre for little money. Go for the Tufo.

I heard (can't remember where) that the Hutchinsons that US Postal ride are 'special', hand made in Belgium or somewhere else in Europe, not the off the rack tires that we mere humans can buy.
