Parting out a new build, or selling my WW roadie
Quote | Reply
I just ordered a new roadie built with DA, Zipp 404 clinchers, which means that I will be saying goodbye to my weight weenie project.

This can go alot of ways so I'll start with the full build

Litespeed Ghisallo '01-'02 but I think it is custom with a taller head tube ~ 16cm otherwise it is a L compact geometry
King HS
Campy 10 Carbon Shifters (dinged up but fully functional)
Campy 10 Carbon RD
Campy Double FD (not Carbon)
Campy 172.5 Al Crank w/ Ti Bottom Bracket (smooth as butter) 53/39
Campy 11-23 Record Cassette
Campy 10 Chain
Campy Cables
Zero Gravity Ti Brakes or Campy Record
Easton EC90 Equipe 44mm c-c Bars
Easton EC90 SL 43mm Fork or Reynolds Pro Uozo Pro 40mm fork (or both)
Easton EC90 Zero Offset Seat Post
Easton EA 50 Al 130mm Stem
Zipp 303 2006-2007 (44mm deep with dimples - flawless) Veloflex Carbon Tubies and or Campy Scriocco 30 odd mm deep G3 lacing clinchers with Mich Pro 2 race
Selle Italia SLR Carbon shell w/Ti rails or Fizik Arione Road or Selle Italia Prolinc gel
Time RSX pedals can also be included
Confirmed weight of 6.7K - below the legal limit and not too bad for an XL

OK for the above bike (I'll rewrap the bars if the orange offends) I need $4,350 shipped with everything

A word about this bike - I'm 6'2" and am going about 190lbs right now. I really love this bike but wanted to try something differnet. If my wife would let me keep a climbing bike this would go nowhere. But alas I've got a 5 bike limit on my basmet and something has to go (plus I need ot pay for the new one)

As many of you might remember I was on this bike when I had a bad crash. I stripped the bike, inspected every part, put over 500 miles on it on the rollers, and now have about 100 miles on it on the road - many of them over 27mph. The bike is solid and all questionable components have been maticulously replaced. As far as the ride, well, it feels like a feather under you and I have a hard time getting the wheels to rub brakes under a full sprint - so it is stiff enough for my fat a$$.

Since I know you guys are not weight weenies I'll part it out for the right price.

Now, the new bike arriving next week.
really I'm after the frame so the rest is as follows
All this to the street
Full DA 7800 Grouppo
ZG 07
Ritchey Carbon post
Fizik Arione saddle
Zipp 404 Clinchers with dimples tires tubes and Cassette (if it isn't taken with the grouppo)

Open to offers.

Peter, what color is the new arione? If it's white with the metal rails I'm interested.

I think you shouldn't sell this bike!
