Hmmm. I'm not too impressed, it's yellow, and the tank if vaguely reminiscent of Lance's TT helmet. I think they could have done better.

I like it, it's tank is like the TT helmet. It's very minimal like lances body. I don't like the colors, but what else could they do? I think it captures what it should, that said I'm not a chopper guy and really hate all of them.

Looks like a wasp. I'd have painted the frame and fenders red, white, and blue, and painted the tank yellow (maybe with a Credit Lyonnais logo.)

Trying to find ways to pass the time.

They were thinking the following:

Son: "I think I really captured the essence of the Tour de France in this project. My research really allowed me to understand what cyclists go through, even if I don't know anything about the Tour de Lance or that guy France Armstrong."

Dad: "Have you finished that damn ugly bike yet? Why are you always behind schedule?"

Son: "WHY ARE YOU ALWAYS GIVING ME A HARD TIME?!? I'M THE ONLY ONE THAT DOES ANYTHING AROUND HERE!!! LOOK AT MIKEY SITTING ON HIS ASS AS USUAL!!!"

Dad: "THE ONLY REASON YOU HAVE A PLACE TO WORK IS BECAUSE I BUSTED MY ASS TO BUILD THIS PLACE!!! YOU LITTLE PUNK!!! I'M THE ONLY ONE THAT DOES ANYTHING AROUND HERE!!!"

Both men leave the room pouting like little children.

The swing arm isn't long enough for a drag bike and the front end rake would be pretty hard to handle at 200mph.

All in all I'd give it a B+. They've done much, much better.

I can't believe I am seeing this one today and its is 180 dergees the opposite. The yellow is horrible. And get a bit more metal around this thing!!

Lance's new farm implement.

Choppers, cruisers, whatever, they're not motorcycles if they can't go around a corner. A complete waste of road space. Can you see this one going up (or down) Alpe de Huez ??

He really needs Ducati to do him up a nice yellow 999, if 'yellow' is the theme.

My initial reaction was negtive but the more you look at it the better it gets. I think its hot. Very minimalistic, you can see the structure of the bike and that it is a machine. The spoked wheels are nice. It evokes in my mind a bicycle with a motor. Hopefully on the American Chopper episode they will show Paul, Jr. or Vinnie building the wheels.

The bike itself is art. The tt helmet gas tank is nice. The paint scheme is a negative but is sure to draw a crowd. Am certain that this bike will fetch a high bid at a future LAF auction/fund raiser.

 
Other than the rear fender, it looks to me like they ordered a bunch of 'custom' chopper parts from the J&P cycles catalog, slapped them together & left the paint shop shop to try and save the project.

I agree a Ducati, or even better a Buell or Britton(lots of carbon fiber) would have been a more more worthy platform to start with.

Very ugly, definitely not their best bike. Davis Love III's bike wasn't that great either. They should have gone with a brighter/lighter yellow(Ducati). They should have gone with like a black powder-coate trispoke milled rim in front and a solid disk in back or a six spoke rear with the dates engraved with each year he one the tour on the spokes. Maybe some of the sponsors could have kicked in to have their logos engraved on the rims(hed) or trek on the frame. I personally like the copper liberty bike.
