Don't know if anyone else has written this following piece of advice, I have a 28 month old, so I don't have time to read all the posts ;)
Now is the time to realize the long slow distance training isn't necessary...as long as you have a decent base. When you go work out now, warm up, go hard, go home. You'll keep/raise your Lactate Threshold (or whatever you want to call that effort level that you can maintain for a couple of hours), and your performances may actually increase! There is increased chance of injury from going hard so much, but, just be reasonable and vigilant. Every once in a while, do a Long Slow Training session.
Nothing you'll do is worth not having a happy home. Enjoy this time in your life!
Quid quid latine dictum sit altum videtur
(That which is said in Latin sounds profound)
