Alexander Vinokourev, Andrei Kivilev's friend and countryman from Kazakhstan won today's mountain stage to take the yellow jersey. He was not wearing a helmut.

Kivilev's death finally convinced me to wear a helmut on all rides, even a 3 block trip to the LBS.
