I'd like to get a "rain" bike for the winter riding here in northern CA. Might as well make it a cross bike so I can have a little fun with it too and race a few times in the fall/winter if it suits me. Disc's would be cool too but I can do Canti's just fine. 10 Speed preferred but 9 might be fine, depends on the price.

I'm 5'7" with a 29" inseam. I ride a 51CM look kg386 (52.5CM top tube), so I think a 49 or 50CM cross bike would be best.

Looking to spend under $1000.00, hopefully about $750.00
