I've only heard the term used in climbing circles. Obviously all ice is water but water ice is frozen from running water as in a frozen waterfall as opposed to alpine ice which is refrozen snow and contains much more air. In climbing, water ice is generally more brittle and is only found in winter whereas alpine ice is usually more cork like and is found year round. But maybe you meant something else.

other than knowing what it is, I'm curious as to its availability elsewhere. I know some people tried to start a Rita's franchise in Florida, but it failed.
