From the pre-Tour press conference:

"I'll say this," Armstrong replied to a question about the book. "In my view, extraordinary accusations demand extraordinary proof. In four or five years, they have not come up with extraordinary proof." He added that he would "spend whatever it takes" to fight the charges.

One of my favorite (para)phrases: "extraordinary claims demand extraordinary evidence". Often used by skeptics about things like UFOs, etc.

Gotta love it.

I'm saying that Armstrong has read skeptical stuff, is all, and saw wisdom therein. He didn't make up that phrase.

I was also wondering if he knows Michael Shermer. His scientism/skepticism isnt surprising when you consider his empirical approach to racing.
