Windy might be onto something...

Canada was founded as an anti-American country. Much of our culture is still, to this day, based around being "not-America". So, being mortal enemies and all, it makes sense that windy would try and mock us.

also, in this light it makes complete sense that Canadians tend to be wrapped up in US politics as much as, or even more than, our own.

I'll get you started though. Canada was originally founded by the British as a response to the growing American presence in North America after the Revolutionary War. That legacy is still an ingrained part of the culture.

Also, Canadian Bacon is an awesome movie. go watch it if you haven't already.

"The Left" has been whining about that for years. I support the monarchy btw, mainly seeing them as a stabilizing force in the UK and commonwealth.
