Yes, yes, it's all because of Trump. Yet, Obama had 24 'mass shootings' during his 8-year tenure and was never vilified like the Dems are doing right now with Trump. Trump has had 4 in three years. I guess Obama was a much bigger racist than Trump because mass shootings seem to be the benchmark.

I do t think there were 250 (maybe deaths) but the number also isn’t 4. We have had 3 in the last 2 weeks. Stoneman douglass school (trump would have run in because he loves the kids) Las Vegas shooting (you want hannity with his pistol) Texas babtist. There was the synagogue shooting. Also Florida Sebring shooting.

Those are just the major ones I can think of off the top of my head.

What's your definition of mass shooting? There is no broadly accepted one, but generally it's where there are multiple victims. By that criteria, as of July 31, there have been 248 mass shootings in 2019.

I was just going off the top of my head. My main point is that if you are going to question one of the numbers 4 or 250. You should question the 4. Because you know that number is wrong. Shit we had 3 in the last 10 days.

Las Vegas was huge. Stoneman Douglas was all over the news. That already makes 5.

My point being If you can’t remember these shootings enough to give a pass to the obvious made up number of 4. Then maybe you shouldn’t be in this conversation. Maybe there have been 250based on creteria. There is def more than 4 based on anything. You can argue metrics on the 250. You are ignorant if you think the number is 4

The truth is bad enough, why exaggerate? You’re either ignorant or dishonest, and I don’t want to talk to either one. I’m all for trying to solve whatever it is that makes these mass shootings happen, I don’t want crazy people to have large clip rapid fire weapons, and I’m for the environment, but all of the above phrases are non-starters for me.

Yeah but that includes gang related multiple shootings which I don’t think anyone really counts as a ‘mass shooting’ in this sense.

I threw out the 250+ figure based on something I quickly found, and without looking into the criteria used to arrive at that number, because even without that validation it was as sound as the claim that Trump has had 4 shootings in 3 years. That kind of claim requires either a fundamental inability to count, or a special kind of cognitive dissonance.

And here I'd thought that "TDS" refers to those who don't support Trump.

    I heard the 250 number on NPR, but they clarified the criteria as being "victims", and not necessarily deaths. So any situation where more than 2 or possibly 3 are shot qualifies, I don't remember if the base number was mentioned in this NPR piece, but we've talked about it here before.

I am very open to being taught. Could you post a link to the Dayton shooter's manifesto?

I found both numbers in an article I read while reading about the shootings. The article included a table at the bottom listing all of the mass shootings for every president all of the way back to Reagan. I seem to remember it was from a left leaning media source. Been trying to find it again and I'll post it here when I do.

Yeah, the 'democrat kid'. Is that the one that was a fan of Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders? Also called himself an 'environmental extremist' and stated that we needed to 'depopulate' the world. Ever thought if declarations that the world is going to end in 12 years just might have some sort of influence over an idiot like that? When do we start blaming Bernie, Warren, and AOC? Especially since he pointedly remarked that he held his positions about immigration BEFORE Trump was elected.

Sure, declarations the world might end in 12 years have influence. If you are trying to say they have the same degree of influence as Trumpublican rhetoric of late, I disagree. We have a right wing white male terrorist problem.
