That QR Santo sure looks and sounds like a great bike at a great price. I am 6'3", 210 lbs. and ride a Moots Ti on the road and in tris w/clip-ons. It's awesome-very stiff, comfy, handles great. However, I am in the market for a dedicated tri bike and am not interested in shelling out mega-bucks like I did for the Moots. The Santo is apparently a teriffic bike and the sizing looks perfect for me. My only concern is that less expensive (relative, I know) Ti will not be stiff enough for someone my size. Any thoughts? Also, I live in Colorado and thus would love some info. on how it climbs and handles. (Unfortunatley, Dan's article does not answer these questions).
Thanks.
Bump. I'd love some info. Tachyon riders should be helpful as the tubes are the same.
Bump. Please. I know from the search that I did that there are Santo/Tachyon rider/dealers on the site. Unfortunately, the previous posts don't address my question. Thanks in advance.
I'm almost the same size and I'm rifing a Saber, if that helps. Also, bump.

I like it, rides nice, looks cool, and Herbert answers your emails!
When Hid sends the TSR jersey, I'll post a pic.

Shredder,
Frogonawire's (older) Saber is really not much larger in terms of tubing diameters versus the QR Santo, so hopefully that addresses your weight concerns. Along those lines, I am personally just about 190 at 6"2" and there is not a single bike in our lineup I would not ride, or deem not tough enough for me.
I hope this helps.

FYI, At the Interbike Outdoor Demo, the Santo was very popular.

damn, I hand the guy a compliment and see what he says? Hard to trust a transplant wearing a cowboy hat!

Thanks. I will check it out (w/Campus Cycles in Denver). I am very interested.
BTW-I assume it's available frame only? I'm a campy man.
