Re: Easter Camp Good Friday Apr6 - Apr 15th (10 days) [desert dude]
Hey Desertdude, I realize that outdoor riding seemingly gets the short end of the stick for all that volume, but the reasoning is that with outdoor riding you really can pile it on with the least amount of recovery required per hour exercised, thus returning the next day for more of the same...let's put it this way...it would be hard to back up a 2.5 hour run with another 2.5 hour run the next day, but doing 5+5 on the bike is something that most of us can survive and still head out the third day...in both cases you bag 150 + 150, however, if you did it with two runs like that, it might be game over for several days.

Dtreeps, my spreadsheet has you at 318 pts. Check your math, or accept the 10 bonus points.

Trevor, nice to see you making a big surge. I did another 25 min of weights tonite (actual lifting mainly upper body swim muscles), to add ~15 pts to my total for the day for 175 pts...having said this, Desertude will likely head out for a 2 min run to bring his day's total to 176 :-)

OK EVERYONE, IF YOU WANT TO GET IN ON THIS TRAINING CAMP, ENTRIES ARE CUT OFF AT 11 PM TONITE HAWAII TIME, WHICH WOULD BE 7 AM TOMORROW EDT. IT COSTS NOTHING TO ENTER...JUST POST YOUR POINTS FOR THE FIRST 3 DAYS BY THE AFOREMENTIONED TIME. YOU CAN'T JUST TRAIN IN STEALTH TO SEE HOW IT GOES AND THEN POST A STUDLY TOTAL ON DAY 5. PUT YOUR POINTS UP NOW OR MISS OUT :-(

We have 51 campers of which I missing totals from astroman, gavnumms, mojozenmeister and tri_2005. If you have been training in stealth, and have been virtually participating in the virtual camp (its pretty bad when you have phantom participants in a camp where people aren't even there...kinda like a show about nothing...), then it is time to come out and join in. No one will ever know who you are anyway!

OK, that's it for the rant...back to training, eating, sleeping, working and hanging with your loved ones (or battling anonymous internet tri posters on other threads about why their position are not so aero and their seats are too high ...) :-)
