Yes. Spray chalk on pavement and big yellow signs with black arrows.

Critical intersections will have police or volunteers.

If you did not enter through Active, but believe you are one of the very few transfers / deferrals approved by me, write me at pipermcgovern@gmail.com.

I hate to be 'that guy', but - don't see the registered athletes info on Active.

Maybe you do, as the RD, but us peons apparenty can't access that same info.

You've been "that" guy since 2005.

Can't speak for Active, but all the info is there.

No sense sweating over entry lists - we're like T ball; everyone gets a prize.

Same day, same course, whoever shows up. That's the race.

Looks like the showers move in Saturday afternoon and leave around 3 am, then start up Sunday around 3pm Sunday.

Race fast and get in before you get wet!

EZ, flat trail run this morning.
The exact opposite of Sunday morning's jaunt.

Moody Tongue Sliced Tangerine IPA Growler next to the Gatorade, ready to be packed.

Let's roll!

Very little wind forecast on Sunday too which is great because it's a flat bike course, right?

It's net-downhill. Bike and run.

It's the Escherian stairwell of multisport.

Everyone talks about the first climb and the climb to Minniwaska. The steepest part is that little bump before the final climb back to transition and that final climb is over a mile long. And it guts you before the next run.

I'm on the couch all day today in Shandaken, short run tomorrow. Social Security check came yesterday and I'm ready to go

The exact spot I met and had a laugh with Chris Gleason. Now, as much as it hurts, I manage a smile.
May he rest in peace.

Agreed - that little stinger by the chapel sucks hard.

Also, the dirt climb after the Ranger station at the Spring Farm entrance back up towards the pavilion is hateful (Chris G's fave term) at that point.

Alright ... checking in here. Getting excited about the 2015 version of one of our favorite races (my 7th? Where is the historian?). Not that I read all posts ... but what's up with all the whining? Too hot, too humid, too rainy? And now the hills? Who knew that there are any? What happened to the smack-talk that all of ST loved? Getting older/wiser/slower and more realistic? Just imagining what you guys will be talking about AFTER the race :-) Carry on. Still fun to read.

4 F1
2 CWD (as of Sunday).

Aaah ... now you are beginning to sound like you haven't lost it yet ... even though the trend that I see in your history worries me a bit. What comes after two more CWD? Just heckling without racing?

Truth be told, I only have 2 goals left at AmZof:

Win the GCG F1 (again), so I can get my name on the trophy.
Win CWD, so I can complete the hat-trick.

Since I'm unlikely to do the latter this Sun, it means I have at least one more F1 in my future, and at least one more CWD.

Then I'll focus on beer and heckling.
Just like tetsuoni.
Only without the skirt or flabalanche.
