They just said Bauke Mollema turned up at a 10k in Monaco and ran sub 32 a few months ago...

Wow. Very...wow.

@marcag - I bet most of us would be willing to play inside ball if Theuns, Williams and Co wanna drop us hints. Bennett, Clarke, Fuglsang, Gee and Schultz too? That is a stacked team ready to win. :) Just a joke.

Also, while I'm wondering out loud about Bennett, where did the Social Distance Podcast go?

Well, I think they have been told to ride hard because there is a massive VIP contingent at the race. Just kidding. Well kind of.....
But on a serious note they took MY DESIGNATED bike for some VIP. I am shocked and outraged. They wanted me to use some random riders bike to do my tests this week. Scandalous !

That's just wrong. Everyone knows: You don't mow another man's lawn and you don't take another man's bike.VIP my ass. :)

Complete horror and disrespect. Try not to put your triathlon power through their poor bikes. The frames might not handle the megawatts.

Indeed! It is super to see Bernal doing so well lately and here today. I wouldn't have believed it last year.

Haha great pick and great result. He's a great rider / guy.

Pog made this boring. He is too good. Also, he looks like a young Slovenian Lemond.

Great to see him get a result. And respect for MVP - he didn’t give up.

Ferris looked fairly subdued at finish. Was he gassed or something else?

There's usually some non-aero detail that bugs me. Usually it's Tadej's tufts, but with the aero helmet we didn't get to see those today.

But Bardet's gel hanging out of his pocket was driving me nuts. :-)

Great ride and I'm glad he was able to stay away!

He was atypically somber and emotional, remembering Gino Mader I think he said.

Another Spring campaign in the books.

This year didn't quite have drama. Tough with the core of elite riders we have now. Still have the mid-week races where tactics and superb effort may allow a surprise here and there, but the big ones have become just a race to the launch pad.

That said, the calamity of the Spring does set up for an interesting summer. Pretty excited to see Tadej tear through Italy. Tour is shaping to be up for grabs, and then with Olympics, the Vuelta should be wide open for another dark horse like last year.

In here, Professor echappy strong as usual. eb and McNulty stayed upright all they way to La Flamme Rouge. But ClayDavis had enough gap to stop and carry his bike across the line!

Chapeau!

Thank you @ WannaB for season-long tallying! Congrats to @ ClayDavis!

Also, the women’s LBL made for quite an interesting watch, and they all look shattered.

Here here! Thank you to all.

Let's hope we have some surprising contenders and don't have a stage race season dominated by Pogi-smash.

Women's LBL was a much better watch and an actual race!

It was solid. Not gonna whine, but I do admit to switching to MTB as soon as Pog got 6 seconds. I know what 6 seconds over the top means.

Speaking of which, the second round of the MTB World Cup also great. Course design next level. Brings the "down" to "downcountry." It's important to not just drop out of classics fandom cold turkey - requires tapering.

In Brazil? I caught the U23 race replay last night while up late. Loved the course, and a baller attack in the feed zone.

The 2nd of the back-to-back Brazil rounds - last week was Brazil too.

Yes I see now. Makes a lot more sense.

Thanks for the classics fun, gents. Almost time to pick the Giro dog appearance stage.

agreed on the many thanks for the tabulations, @WannaB!
The podium-a-bility of the biggest favorites was pretty remarkable
of the 12 podium spots - Tadej and Mathieu got 5 (of 6 possible)
Jasper got a 1st and 2nd in probably the only races he could make a podium
Mads and Bling (i think he deserved 2) got their podiums
that only leaves 3 spots.....

Mozzato has to be the biggest longshot, but I bet Bardet and Politt relish those results with how well MvdP and Tadej (and Jasper and Mads) are riding.

Kudos to the style/aggressiveness/don't give up of Bernal/Carapaz/Healy/Pidcock (going for the bridge when it looked like that group's race was over).
Bummer they got crushed in the results.

again many thanks - WannaB!
