Over/under on issues/recall.
No seriously, I hope they work out. I debated this purchase for a long time but eventually gave up and went in a different direction.

I have an Alpha X and Omegas on my Shiv. I'm having some extensions bent so I can match my position with the 3T Revo. I bought one as soon as it was available and have been waiting for the Sigma X to come out to build something up with it.
In terms of build, I'm just going to move my eTap and 404 NSWs over as well as my Power2Max/Rotor crankset. I really wish the FSA Metron cranks came in 165mm but they don't :/

Closest comparable to a "standard" stem would be -17. But we provide the actual stack/reach instead so you can just do a direct comparison to your pad x/y coordinate.

How do you like the 3T Revo? My 3T ventus broke when I crashed and I'm looking for a replacement. I'm looking hard at the 3T Revo but there isn't much information about it available.
One thing that I'm curious about is the braking. I used to live in Baton Rouge where it was completely flat so the Ventus + TriRig brake was fine. Now in Syracuse I need to use the brakes a lot more. I'm thinking the Revo with SRAM levers will fair much better but I'm also worried about matching my fit.
Thanks,
Tiago

I haven't ridden with the Revo yet (it's just sitting here, lol) but I've fiddled with it a lot. Here are my initial impressions:
Pros:
-Your grip/control while in the pursuit position is vastly improved. You literally feel like you're on the drops of a road bike.
-If you have Di2 you can reverse the brake levers and use your index finger to operate the shift buttons. Again, feels like a road bike. Pretty slick.
-If your brake levers have adjustable reach, you can dial them in so you can brake with one or two fingers sort of like a proper mtb setup.
-Initial impression is that the arm pads are reasonably comfy.
Cons:
-No tilt adjustment for the extensions/pads :(
-By design, the pursuit position puts you lower than a flat bar. This is fine for me but may be problematic for some.

Hi,
I plan to get a Sigma X to put on a Felt AR1, so road bike, with an Omega X for a clean aero front end.
Question is, is it possible ? In this case I wont need the original top cap from Felt right ?
Thanks !

The Sigma X arrived today. I have taken it all apart to understand how it all works and have put it on the scale which resulted in a 254g weight. Overall the stem looks amazing and now I just have to find some time to mount it.
I will take some pictures when I can find 30 minutes in my day.

I believe that I ordered on Tuesday or Wednesday but had to have it shipped to my US address and then had it shipped up to Canada so it took a little longer.
So I took it completely apart and it looks like the 4 bolts that hold the faceplate (not really a faceplate) are Ti with the front being longer than the rear. The pinch bolt for the steerer looks to be steel as do the two small bolts that hold the cover on.
The stem came with 4 plastic risers and the slam the stem style cover.
The inside walls for the bars and steerer look to have some sort of coating that is rough to the touch.
I will try to install the stem this weekend and will also take pictures of all of the parts on a scale.

Can you fit a di2 Junction A box in the Sigma X? I had thought the cover was just for cable routing.
Only asking because, if there is no space for a Junction A box, then I suspect the Sigma X/Omega X combination doesnt work (cos the Junction A Box would have to be under the stem and interfere with the cable run to the Omega X).

My tt bike has a 1' steer tube. Is there a shim or is the 1 & 1/8 steer tube only?
Re: SIGMA X in stock (and in my hands) [Juanmoretime]

You can just buy a shim online - standard fare for 1st Gen SC7 owners, as the steerer tube tapered down to 1".

I am curious whether there's still some gap between the upper and lower part when you fully tighten clamp bolts.
Anyway It's sick. Looks much better than my expectation!

There's still a gap between the two part yes, like the Sigma XF.
It looks better than the Sigma XF (I have it too), you loose the place to put the di2 junction box on the new one but I don't care cause eTap :)

Hey Tririg, got my Sigma X stem for Christmas and am super impressed. Absolutely love it. But I would suggest including longer bolts to secure the bottle cage with. The ones included are too short to secure a Kappa cage to the stem. I had some 16mm stainless bolts laying around from another project and they worked perfectly. Just some feedback. Keep up the good work.

Why are these stems so damn heavy?
Re: SIGMA X in stock (and in my hands) [justtrime]
[ In reply to ]
Good question and to be honest, there is no good reason. They are not that much lighter than the original metal version. They are an aero beast. I was shocked by how heavy it was when it arrived. Not much room for tuning either as it does come with some ti bolts. It could have been made lighter and should have come in at under 200g's
I believe that Culprit will be coming out with a new aero stem that is lighter and more options for electronics.

I wanted to better way to mount my Garmin if possible and to be honest I am too cheap to purchase a commercial offering so I thought I would see if I could do something myself. I was able to create one out of an old carbon extension that I had and it came out to 8g. I think that I could maybe tweak it a bit but so far it is working.
I do think that it would be cool if Nick would make the cover on the Sigma X longer out the front and with a built in Garmin mount. I do have to run my back with the back facing forward.
Here are a few pictures.

Hi, I recently installed a Sigma X stem in my Felt IA10.
I have ridden the bike indoors and there seems to be too much wobble when riding my base bar, and it is noticeable it comes from the stem. It did not happen with the Felt propietary stem, so I wonder if it was installed wrong or if it is normal.
I'm afraid of taking it outside if there is indeed a problem with the installation that might cause any accident.
I can take photos of the installation or a video of the wobble of needed.
Please let me know, thanks!

Agreed
My first thought is that you haven't got the proper torque on the stem bolt/wedge. It's design requires much higher torque than a traditional style stem.

To me, it looks like the fork wasn't properly preloaded before the stem was installed.
If you were to grab the bike at the fork, could you 'wiggle' it relative to the frame?
If so, try:
Loosening the stem clamp from the fork steerer tube.
Tighten the stem cap to preload the fork and frame interface (you may need to add a small spacer here).
Re-tighten the stem clamp to the fork steerer tube.

Finally fixed, with the help of the TriRig team. It was the steerer cap. Crappy work by me and then by one mechanic, but then fixed by another.
I am selling the stem as I did not like the position, too aggresive for me at the moment.

If I were you, I’d keep the stem and look for compatible spacers, assuming that when you say “too aggressive”, you mean it’s too low.
I will keep the Felt one. I think it looks better, and I can use the money too. :)
