I agree. I have noticed that InsideTri is looking pretty barren. Very cheap stock and poor quality in photos, design and paper/printing. To me it looks as though they may not be around long.

Referring to the cover only,
I thought it was very nicely done and yup, most likely will sell lots of copies this month off the news stand. As I told someone today after pulling it out of the mailbox, her body is the epitome of the female triathlete physique. She is exquisite

Hey, if you got it, flaunt it and although Triathlete Magazine is not my favorite multisport publication, kudos to them for featuring an athlete that has been around a long time can hold a candle to any 20 year old female in a bikini.

this is not the cover but wow, she looks good in PINK too!

Are you accusing me? I'm aghast, gobsmacked (I've been wanting to use that word for years!)
If so, please write at least three paragraphs stating your position and I'll retort.

so hear comes some "bitching from the female side" . . .
Firstly, I am female and I have no man-hating issues. I think you guys are wonderful. Secondly, I respect Keller and her many incredible achievements. Thirdly, I love sex and all things sexy. That should put out a few fires.
However, what bothers me is that we don't see any covers of today's top male triathletes, or any male athletes for that matter, naked and innocently cupping/covering their genitals on the cover or inside of Triathlete magazine or any other professional rag. Don't get me wrong, I do not want to see any male athletes doing such. (If Triathlete Mag follows this issue with a naked Al Sultan or Macca or whoever, then I will truly believe they aren't trying to objectify women.) Why do we have to take a serious and a seriously accomplished athlete and make them naked to gain appeal or acceptance or to boost sales or whatever. Does a female have to be naked in order for us (the triathlon community) to be interested in the magazine? If they want to put a naked model on the cover, fine, but in my opinion, triathletes are incredible and sexy and appealing because they are triathletes and I could care less about how any of them look naked. sheesh.

I remember a study from a long time ago, so I won't be able to put my finger on it, but it stated that a magazine with a good looking female on the cover will sell more copies to men (well, duh!) But, it went on and said the same magazine with an attractive male would sell less to women that having the female on it. So, essentially, an attractive female on the cover is a better sell to both genders. And this was done with magazines that have equal appeal, content wise.

So, while there's a few complaining, there's a whole lot more buying because of it.

I am a female and I thought it was tastefully done. First, I'm glad to see what you guys mean by "topless", because when I first read that I was a little worried (at work, before I got to see my issue at home). Second, I'd much rather see Fernanda, an accomplished triathlete, posing in a bikini in this magazine than a model who "did a triathlon, once."

Well, I happen to know that Adolf Hitler liked his women topless and many Nazis fled capture by the Allies by escaping to Brazil. It is patently obvious therefore that Triathlete magazine is a white supremicist rag sheet.

Ok, now I've finished drooling (for now at least) and wiped my monitor down...what are those shoes?

Hmmm, they must have photo shopped her head on someone else's body because she's not tan! She always has a super tan.

Ha another person who doesn't fit there P3. She probably should have gotten a P2, but that isn't good for marketing.

"As opposed to journalism???? "
- - It's a bidness. If nobody buys it, they're toast. Show a little skin, sell a few more mags and everybody wins. Personally, I find many of their training articles more annoying than a little cheek or cleavage. Personally, I wouldn't buy the magazine to see Fernanda nude or semi-nude, but I also won't cancel my subscription if those pics are in there. Shoot, I'm 56 years old; that may be all the excitement I get this month...

Ok, I 'll say it. I am not fit expert, but based on what I know and what I see here, she may have been better off on the P2C. However, that would have thrown off the black and white theme!

i think she looks great, and is well accomplished. i could only wish to look that good when i'm in my 40's (hell, even now!!!). more power to her, is my thought.

however, i must admit that i hate that bikini--honestly, there are many other better choices. that top (which is straight 80's) did nothing for her, it only made her look even more flat chested and wasn't sexy. the shot of her in the pink one piece is way hotter, IMO.

the shots in the article are better...yes she is topless, but...the problem with the bikini was the stupid top to begin with! but i digress (i know, no one wants to hear me critique swimwear).

i don't think it should be about who is hot, who is not, etc. i just like to see accomplished athletes, but would prefer if the shots weren't always so sexual...specifically when the cover is of a woman. it would be nice for women to be on the cover because of who they are, not because of their sexuality. additionally, men are never positioned this way (so sexually) on the cover. i do not like that...and would at least like it to be equal with some hottie guy on the cover nearly nude with abs flexing. is that too much to ask???

lol.

This magazine reminds me of the one that had Madonna B. in it...is there anyway to laminate the pages so they dont get all sticky and stuck together?

Also, if you look at the article in the magazine, there is a picture of her on the bike. But she's not really sitting on the bike and her shoes do not appear to have cleats that attach to the pedals. Pretty funny...
