This. Ogio makes really good, quality bags. Check them out.

For training and what not I use my old Sierra hiking backpack that can store infinite amount of crap.

For a race where I can actually need to setup my transition, I simply bring a black trash bag. It lays down flat, and if you double bag you can bring a crazy amount of stuff with you (not that you'd need it).

Next races on the schedule: none at the moment

I have this BlueSeventy bag. It's priced at $94 on SwimOutlet.com.

I have no complaints. The zippers are sturdy, there's enough room for all my crap, there's a separate wetsuit compartment, there are lots of exterior and interior pockets, the straps are comfortable, etc.

Third on the Ogio (I have the 9.0). Only downside is there are no loops for a floor pump.

Can you fit your helmet in there with all of your "crap"? I have an old Garneau bag that has an exterior helmet pocket that I really like, but it is starting to rip out after 4 seasons.

Ogio has been my favorite so far. I have the 8.0 for brick days and for race day, and I have the Xtrain 2 for day to day work outs. While they haven't thought of every little thing, they've come pretty darn close. The Xtrain 2 comes with a removable strap to thread a helmet onto the pack, and the 8.0 has a web system to hold the helmet.

It slides into the outdoor pocket. I can't speak to how much use would cause the pocket to rip out, as mine is still intact.

hard to narrow it down, some pretty good options thrown out on here.

The 8.0 has backpack straps too? I did not see that on the Ogio site. That might be my next bag if so...

Yeah - it does. The straps/handles double as backpack straps. It's a slick design.

Ahh. On the OGIO site it is the 8.0 Fitness bag and shows the backpack straps, but then you click on the video and it shows the 8.0 Endurance. Funny that their IM branded one the M8 does not have backpack straps. Apparently they had to give those up for the logo.

The one I currently have is the Garneau Revo and the best part about it is there is no internal rigidity. That way I can roll it up and put it in my morning clothes bag which makes for easy transport back to the hotel at the end of an IM when travelling alone. A feature I will have to give up with an Ogio product.

Lots of interesting options out there, what is your budget?
$200 or less I think, didn't put much thought into a budget. I've looked at the Rocket Science bag, looks nice and smallish with lots of separate compartments for everything. I did see the white one is like $100 less than the black one on amazon. Looks like the same bag. White would probably look like crap after a couple of races.

Just looking for good quality that's not to big to keep in transition area.

I own a Rocket Science transition bag. It's alright. Not "OMG this is better than sex!", but I can't say is't bad. Because of all these pockets, which is nice, it is a bit on a heavy side. The phone compartment on the strap is a cheap low quality piece of crap, that won't fit my 6 Plus. The drybag inside is really good, and you can take it out, if you don't intend to use it (no wetsuit race, general travel). Sealed zips, a lot of pockets and things to attached other things to. Comfortable to wear, even when it is filled with all my gear + baby stuff. Looks good enough for non-sport trips too.

Used it on several tris and this is my togo bag for international travel too.

thanks for the feedback on the rocket science bag. Guess the front runners for me are Ogio and the Rudy. Both seem similar. Probably can't go wrong with either

Just as a heads up in the event that you go for an Ogio - I tried the 8.0 and the 9.0 and ended up with the 9.0. There's not much difference in size (basically an inch more in length width and depth for the 9.0) but the 9.0 seems to find about 600 cubic inches more space. I also liked the extra water bottle pocket and the transition clip that tucks away in its own little pocket (in certain transitions it was really nice to be able to just clip the bag up on a nearby fence out of the way). Not deal breakers, but nice to have and used a decent amount.
