Sarah flies under the radar…won IMLP & IMAZ in 2022 along with solid performances in 70.3’s last year & this year…and she’s a Mom….and a PhD student… I love that she’s not flashy but just gets the job done!

Knibb and True are the coolests triathletes in the circuit, they are damn genuine :) I wish they were my friends :D

Yeah it was super cool when True was blaming the concerned athlete for helping her out when she was nearly unconscious in 2019.

That reaction will never leave my mind when I hear her name. It's like Zidane's headbutt. Unfortunate.

Here's a link to the moment she DNF'd for anyone who didn't see it.

I never knew she blamed that guy though. I wonder if she would have made it. At that speed it would have been another 10-15 minutes of stumbling before getting to the finish?

We were kinda robbed of Julie Moss repeat though.

Here's a more accessible (for me) 2019 clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gcvb9hM2iRo
Way further gone than Moss - it looked like. And Moench ran past not knowing True had been carried off into the shade beside the course.
2019: https://stats.protriathletes.org/...germany/2019/results
True had run sub 2:55 the previous year (2018) cf her 2:57 at the weekend.

Pretty brilliant overall performance. She was the one to "race her own race" and let the chips fall where they may in a field where everybody seemed to be going for broke. I do love those kinds of race dynamics...

It may have looked like that, but until T2, Jerzyk was going with the women who didn’t have Kona slots (Lehrieder, Deron, Svensk) and not worrying about True or Moench. She was fully aware of who was who and which athlete had a slot and which didn’t, and rode through cramps to stay with the group she needed to be with. The run she did treat more like a TT, given the risks of trying to do otherwise. (This is from a long race report the published on social media).
