Havent looked but I am sure the crit series is still on in August, so get in some high intensity stuff before heading over!

Bad luck Julian. I had a few mates throw up on the bike as well. The chop and swell can be a problem if you are not used to it....diesel fumes can then just push you over the edge.
I found the swim hard and the wind on the bike tough but overall a really good day. The organisers did an awsome job. Great race.
That sucks about taking the DNF, but better to retire early and live to race another day, than to have more than just the bad taste of salt and diesle in your mouth.

hmmm, it's okay, sometimes people experience those things. Maybe you should make a movie, titled "My African Confession". It would rival Brokeback Mountain I am sure.
