I consume about 3,000 sometimes close to 4. I always figure an average sized person (130-200 pounds) needs 2000+ calories a day without exercise, but what we do burns 600 to 1,000+ calories an hour, depending on how hard we go ... So 3-4,000 a day sounds normal if you work out 10 hours a week. The tough thing for me is getting enough lean protien.

protein - I struggled with that and have found

yogurt is great. Lowfat or fat free Stonyfield is awesome. The Chocolate Underground tastes like pudding. Skim milk, too.

Beans are another good source - baked, refried...

Rice ist sehr schlect!!!

Brown rice is okay. Sushi rice is the worst. Wild rice (technically not rice) is the best... and not the blend kind but rather straight wild rice.

Good luck with the strss fraxtr... cant bring myself to type that awful sequence of letters. :-(

Rice pilaf - Near East rice pilaf - is my favorite. I like brown rice as well.

I'm going to start calling you Mr. Austin.

PS - if I didn't know better, I'd say that you are trying to recruit STers to Austin...

PPS - for Mr. Basmati, try working the Amy's Ice Cream angle...
