I had my knee scoped in August (tomorrow will be 10 weeks).
I started running again in week 4, starting with 10 minutes at a time on the treadmill.
My progression thus far is as follows
week 5, 1 x 15 minute run..still had some soreness
week 6, 3 x 20 minutes
week 7, 2 x 25 minutes
week 8, 3 x 30 minutes
week 9, 3 x 30 minutes....and the legs are feeling great. Knee is perfect....no pain whatsoever. My pace is now about 20-30 seconds slower per mile than my pre-op running pace. I'm running right now around 7:40's, where I used to run in the low 7's for my steady runs.
I'd like to start adding some mileage and time....my question for the running gurus is would I be better off adding an additional 30 minute run to my weekly schedule or add some time to my thrice-weekly runs.
