Just read in Runner's World about a 16 year old doing an ironman (the CaliforniaMan). I have been wanting to do an ironman for a while now, but I thought you had to be 18 to do one. Are there any ironmans in the northeast that will let a 17 year old race?

Californiaman is not an m-dot event so they have a different set of rules. I think that you have to be 18 to do an M-dot event.

Does the Californiaman event still exist?

I'm new at this, but I am not sure there are any iron distance races in the Northeast, regardless of age rules. Check www. trifind.com.

maybe she's born with it, maybe it's chlorine
