This is pretty typical of his assertions prior to Versailles... and after Versailles. Either way, classic Churchill.

He's still saying that Mexico will pay for the wall. You know the one he already tried and failed to get US taxpayers to pay for....

Quote:
"Can you hear that, John?" The president asked. "Believe me, that's what they want."
"Do you think they care about how it's paid for?" Dickerson asked.
"Oh, Mexico is going to pay," the president replied.
Dickerson followed up, "A hundred percent – the whole thing?"
"A hundred percent," the president replied. "They're going to be happy with it. They'll be very happy to pay."

I don't so much mind him shutting down the interview.

I did find it ... funny? odd?? that Trump said that "everyone saw what happened with the surveillance" and that "we proved our case very strongly" (paraphrased). Not quite sure what he's getting at there, since everything I've heard and read (from the fake media of course) has been the opposite.

The interviews are Trump laid bare - incoherent, lying, blustering, bloviating, blundering along. He rarely seems to make any sense, and even will contradict himself in the same interview!

Unfortunately, they will do little to change people's positions. Those opposing Trump will point out the obvious ( he's completely out of his depth and incompetent) and Trump Supporters, will not listen to this sort of thing because few have the attention span to listen through this, and strangely they don't see the bluster, the blunder, the bloviating, the lying and the dishonesty - bizarrely, they see . . " a straight-shooter" . . "my kind of president" . . I don't know how they see that, given what is on display completely unfiltered, but that's what they see!

So are you going to show me how I am wrong about Trump or are you going to throw other things at me that have nothing to do with Trump being a dumbass?

I thought the whole pink font thing was dead.

My fault. I am lost in this post ironic culture. Sarcasm is hard to pick up because stupidity is the way to be. I apologize.

"He loses. He calls it a victory. He moves on."

Indeed - in Trumps upside down world, this seems to be the case.

According to Trump and his closest associates - this was the best opening 100 days ever by a President! But by almost ever measure, these first 100 days have been mediocre at best, and an abject failure at their worst - and the latter is using and applying Trump's own yardsticks here. He was the one that said so much would be happening in the first 100 days. There would be, "so much winning"!

And 100+ days in - he's STILL talking about the election! When does he move on from that?

LOL I saw that already. I haven't had the test yet. I'm curious to see how many US born folks would pass it actually (the same way, when reading comments on French news, I'm curious to see how many French born folks would pass a basic civics test).

At least, now we have 9 justices, so I won't have to think too much about what to answer, since it's one among the 100 possible questions.

I'd bet our president wouldn't.
