Mine came following a phone call today...
"Hello is this Michael?"
"Speaking"
"Hi Michael this is Tim from Ticketek (local ticket selling company) calling. We're just wondering why you didn't attend yesterday's Hopman Cup sessions including Roger Federer?"
"No, my tickets are for tomorrow's day and night sessions!"
"We have you in the system as having purchased tickets to yesterdays sessions. Would you like to check the confirmation email we would have sent?"
"Sure!" .... "Oh @(#%^!!!!"
Background - Federer hasn't been here since 2002 and won't be back. Only real time I would have got to see the GOAT. Tickets released back in October but unless you were a member of the Arena you could not get access to a single session so for the extra $50 bought the combo night and day sessions. Had I waited a few days for the single sessions to be released I was afraid all the good platinum seating (or even all platinum seating) would have been snapped up. I recall jumping back and forth between the Wed and Fri sessions seeing which ones gave me the best seats for the Federer night game. Evidently I made my choice for the Wed sessions but had it in my mind it was the Friday games.
Kiss goodbye to $360.
My own fault, but gee it would be nice if the company introduced a reminder email service the day before an event is held.
