One of our timing wires was peeking out from under a rubber mat exiting T1. Someone saw it and sliced it in half! Not sure of the mindset at work there. That's why we use multiple lines at the important spots like that.

No one mentions McKenzie. He is up there I believe. Is it because his run is no longer competitive?

Welchie quickly mentioned it in passing about 10 minutes ago.

This production team and the announcers have been together for a while. That's why it's always disappointing with the fact that they don't use professional broadcasters and instead hang on to house loyalists like Welch and M. Lieto. I think they work cheap, and WTC doesn't want to spend the $ on something that doesn't add to their bottom line. There is no shortage of talent at places like NBCSN or ESPN they could outsource this to and improve the production qualities of the stream, but I think WTC does not see any benefit to them.

Man... if Rinny can keep managing the gap to Ryf as well as she is... she's will more than likely take it.

I disagree. I don't think throwing known sports personalities would improve it when they have zero knowledge base about the sport itself.

Rinny is starting to lose time at roughly a pace of 1 minute per 10k of riding. She was holding steady at 4 minutes down on Ryf. Now, she's 6:30+

They are in the part of the course where the GPS trackers won't be updating all that well. Won't be for a while yet before they get back online and giving more accurate live updates.

There are a lot more commercials so they are doing much better monetizing the broadcast.I have been on for 6 minutes now and still have been presented nothing but commercials. I'm out. See you later. I'll watch it on NBC in December when I can fast forward the commercials. Adios.

Well if you can believe Welchie's math, she is losing a minute per 10 miles. So yes at that pace it would be interesting at her 6;30 down right now. She would have to have one of her best runs for sure, can't hope that Ryf and others are all going to blow. in fact, expect Ryf to run low 3 hours or right at this year..At any rate no one will have it in the bag til the very end!!
