It was basically last week's Steelers-Ravens game with a different result.

Wildcat. LOL.

You'll really want Big Ben against the Cards though.

11-3
The losses were Cleveland (OT), Buffalo (1 pt winner) and Pittsburgh (final play).

I'll take it.

I want Big Ben against everyone.

You know your QB is a liability when you routinely snap the ball directly to your tailback, even on the final play of the game. How's that for a vote of confidence.

I like watching him play. Always amusing to count how many guys it takes to take him down. We need to create a QB who throws while moving like Rodgers, who can run around the pocket like Wilson, throw fast like Brady and stands up like Ben. Maybe it would make games rather boring though.

NEW ORLEANS (ATL hasn't been dominate, Brees is due for a huge game)
BUFFALO (trap game for CINN, plus I cannot fathom the Bungles at 6-0)
DETROIT (do I have to pick one? Can I pick a tie?)
Washington (spark of life in them the past couple of weeks)
Denver (still living on borrowed time)
Arizona
TENNESSEE
MINNESOTA
JACKSONVILLE (When we we see Watt at QB for HOU, nothing else is working might as well try it)
SEATTLE (CAR always plays them tough, but home field advantage wins out)
Baltimore (SF is a tire fire, it'll have to burn itself out)
GREEN BAY
New England
PHILADELPHIA (only because it's in Philly)

Guaranteed to be off.

We agree on only 50% of our picks.

ATL --> Agreed. This is an easy pick.
CIN --> as Bills fan this pains me, but they are outmatched here. Tyrod is injured (ankle and MCL) and EJ Manuel will play. Ouch. Shady McCoy and Karlos Williams are unlikely to play and their replacements (Boobie Dixon and 'Boom' Herron) suck. Sammy Watkins may be back but 1st week back and without a QB I am not expecting much. I predict the Bills will have 3 first downs the entire game and 2 of those will be off defensive penalties by CIN. The Bills Defense may be good, but its not good enough to shut the Bengals out the entire game.
CHI --> The Bears are ascending and nowhere as bad as people think. Detroit is worse than people think.
NYJ --> I hate the Jets but they do have a good team this year. Great defense, decent running and passing and even a passable QB. They will blow WAS out of the water. If anyone steals the AFC wildcard from the Bills, it will be the NY Jests.
DEN --> Agreed. I don't see McCown having two Cinderella games in a row.
ARZ --> The Steelers are always better at home but without Ben Roethlesberger they are not all that good. The Cards are that good.
MIN --> The Vikings are another team ascending. They are coming off a week's rest, while the Chiefs are without Jaamal Charles and just took an embarrassing loss to the Bears. I see a blow-out.
HOU --> Agreed, though this could go either way.
SEA --> This will be an interesting game to watch. The Seahawks are another team that is nowhere as good as they were last few years but they are at home and dominated this game in January (NFC divisional playoff).
SF --> Baltimore is reeling. SF is at home.
NE --> Never start a land war in Asia, and never bet against Brady when he has a chip on his shoulder.
NYG --> another good game. The Eagles seem to be fixing what is broken but the G-men are surprisingly good on defense, even without the finger-less JPP.

This weeks picks:

ATL | NYJ | ARI | MIN | CIN | CHI | DEN | HOU | MIA | SEA | GB | BAL | NWE | NYG

I'm not sure why, but even as a Pats fan I was worried about Rex going to Buffalo, with that young defensive nucleus. It's like I had forgotten the last few years of circus-show Jets teams that consistently underwhelmed; sure they'd play the Pats tough most of the time but that's because he played it up like the SB every year, meanwhile the rest of the season they devolved year-to-year and were a joke by his last year there.

End of the day he's EXACTLY what you want from a D coordinator: great schematically, great motivationally, gets along with the players and adds energy and enthusiasm to the team. But he's exactly what you DON'T want from a head coach: bluster and shit-talking, zero accountability and discipline for the team, a 'players coach' in a league that needs discipline and structure.

He needs to step away from the microphone and spotlight as HC and take a DC job again, he's damn good at it but when he's running an entire team his act just doesn't work.
