So, Frodeno wins in 3:51:19 over Kienle at 3:52:48, with Gomez third in 3:55:05. Frodo's splits were 22:14, 2:09:04, and 1:16:32, vs Kienle's 24:04, 2:09:54, 1:15:22, so it looks like he had a 2:40 lead after the bike, and held off Kienle's faster run. It seems somewhat surprising that Frodo rode faster than Kienle, unless Kienle had a flat or tech difficulties. Also, I was somewhat surprised that Gomez was not closer in the hunt. And, despite being only roughly 10% of the race, the swim once again proved decisive at the extreme pointy end of the pro race. Discuss:)
