If you were a Non-racer is it really worth upgrading from Cosmic Elite to Flo 30 wheels?

No, not really. Unless you just want an extra set of wheels.

No, the cosmic elite is pretty good already.

for training wheels I'd get something like these, they will last a long time and you can replace or rebuild everything in the package. The hubs are wonderful too. You could live a little and get these in tubular also

Just wondering if you know whether there's there been an aero drag chart done somewhere for the 30mm Mavic Elite wheelset? (Flo obviously has really good info out there already for all their wheelsets.)

Honestly, since I don't race anymore I just like the way the 30mm wheel looks cooler on bike. As long as the cosmic isn't 'way less comfortable' or 'way slower' I'm set.
I know you may have other reasons to as, I'm just stating my purpose for original question

Tour Magazine tested them.
They're listed, for comparison, in this calculator:

Be sure to fiddle with the course layout, and not with the default point to point.

If there isn't much wind, that may be about right.
There are some rotational aero drag details not in these models/measurements which will expand the difference a bit more.
And if there is wind the differences can be much greater

If I'm reading those numbers correctly, and, if the calculations are accurate, seems like you can spend a lot of money for very little gain! For example, using the Flo 60 as the base, they suggested a 9 second time savings over 40k versus the Cosmic Elite.Kat Hunter reports on the San Dimas Stage Race from inside the GC winning team

That was very helpful! Thanks. I was able to find the actual test (from 2011) on tour magazine's site as well:

Open pro rims suck. They are narrow and very old-school. So many better rims out there now. Pacenti, HED and Notubes all make a better choice.

This is the info I was after. I was thinking of getting a front Flo 60 and getting an aerojacket for the back wheel, but even though Flos are cheap, it's still $400 for very little time reduction...
I think I will stick with the Cosmic Elites at the moment.

I understand the Mavic are not what they used to be, they seem to work OK for me, I doubt I could tell the difference. I have a pair of these I still use, the brake track is very narrow but they work fine otherwise even with 34c tires
