Strongly considering getting one as looks the business with good spec for money.
So simply anyone got one of the Speedmax CFs can't find any reviews. If so any comments on it would be great to hear cheers.

Yes I recently got one and love it. One of my clients has a few Canyons so I was able to test it, even though they don't sell them here in the US. It's super clean, especially with the new internal Di2 battery. I have a an odd build (compared to most triathletes) and Canyon was able to mix and match parts to best suit me. I went with the flat aero bars and the elevated tri stem but they offer the drop bars and flat TT stem too. I've been on a few "Superbikes" and the Speedmax definitely is the best bang for the buck if you ask me.
Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

How do you find it handles? cheers

It handles real nicely. It's light and stiff. It turns quite nicely too. You can adjust the front wheel, near the skewer, for a more touchy ride, smoother ride or in between (3 positions). I haven't played much with that though. It feels like power is transferred well at all speeds, which I didn't really get with my old bikes. It's a very well thought out bike.
The only slight gripe I have is with the braking system, it's a bit touchy to adjust which kind of stinks if you have multiple wheels at different widths.
Where are you located, Europe?

I have one, picked it up at the end of the (road) season so have not raced it yet, but have ridden it a good amount. It's a much better fit than my previous TT bike so it was always likely going to 'feel' better. Brakes are a bit of a pain to set up initially (ended up removing some washers to make sure my wheels would fit) but otherwise it's easy to work on (lots of adjustability on the front end etc).

Was thinking about this, in my response I was referring to the Speedmax CF. I have no idea how the Speedmax AL is. If you have questions for their UK office, ask for Alex Palmer.

yeah cheers i'm only really interested in the Speedmax CF, might be a bit of a stretch price wise but i figure with full integration, a great frame and di2 the only thing i might eventually upgrade would be wheels, which with Mavic Cosmics aren't bad

Happy owner! Bought a Speedmax CF 9.0 2013 on sale in october last year. Upgrade from Felt B2 with DA (2007). Quick, clean, responsive and it handles really well. Cockpit is very adjustable. I really like this bike, choose between the P3, the Shiv and the speedmax. Never looked back. Pros: A superb bike/frame with Di2 and race wheels to a great price. Cons: As mentioned before - adjusting the brakes took some time to figure out. Also, the bike-fit system on the canyon website is not very reliable if you are in between sizes, seems to rely heavily on saddle height. So quite important to know your measures if not possible to try it before you buy it. I fit well on the size S with a fairly aggresive position but need a longer seat post (size M). PM if you have any questions.

You can not get one in the US unless you know someone in Europe who can purchase the bike then ship it to you. But then warranty repairs would be a nightmare.

Step 1: Move to Europe...

Or...know someone in Europe.

Could there be any kind of safe way for both parties to do this? I live in The Netherlands near Germany (where the Canyons come from I believe), happy to help out if possible.

Cheers,
Martijn

Also live in Europe and when I shop in US (the other way around in this case) I just buy the stuff and put in the adress of the US resident and they ship the box to me without opening it with USPS to Europe. Of course it requires some trust, but skype/pictures etc.. that should bring peace in your heart if you are really after a Speedmax.

I have been riding one for 10 minutes at an expo and been wasting quite some time on www looking through the few reviews around... and yes, I am buying one for next season :)

Thoughts of the speedmax:

Just mail their help desk, and they will tell you the options.
I have got an L frame, with an S steer (so i have longer aerobars within the regulations)

I actually called them as the seatpost that came was a ding too short, and they said their seatposts are all the same lengths...

If anyone in the US is interested in a Canyon Speedmax CF, size M frame but large seat post and fork (I'm 6'2", almost 6'3"), let me know. The reach of a large is pretty long on the large frame which is why I went with the medium frame. Fits me perfectly. It has complete Di2 10-speed (internal battery). Bike is in perfect condition. I would keep it but have an opportunity to get a different bike. It's probably one of the cleanest set up bikes I have ever seen.
I can also sell it with an older pair of HED Jet 4's if wanted.

*I know this isn't the right place to sell something but thought I'd throw it out there as the topic seems relevant.

Sorry for the late reply.

From the canyon website:
  • Aerodynamic seatpost
  • Trident Shape
  • Length for frame size S: 212mm
  • Length for frame size M: 270mm
  • Length for frame size L: 330mm

  • It is possible to change the seatpost as an option. If you would like to change the seatpost, please get in touch with us.

Hi

Can you tell me when last year you'd completely sold out of medium Al's?

I recall before this past summer a lot were not available, and I won't be able to buy one before Jan so I'm slightly concerned you may sell out before I know what size I need

Cheers

Andrew
