check for mold...pull your insoles out...any black dots or scum you see is mold. wet & warm are perfect breeding grounds. I pull my insoles and give them and my shoe interior a spritz of bleach-based cleaner every now and then as a preventative measure.

Do what Carl said and then get a boot drier and keep them dry. It will be one of the very best odor related investments you will ever make. ....While you're at it dry your sweaty running shoes on it too. The wattage is super low and your shoes will stay nice smelling for as long as you own them. My wife and I have two that see you use year round.

You'll get used to it. Probably better than another bodily function, though!
Honestly, they will get better, especially after a ride or two in the rain.

Take the soles out, then put them in the top rack of the dishwasher facing down.

I've been washing my bike shoes in my dishwasher for years.
Top shelf, inserts out, no dishes, yes use dish soap, no heat cycle, leave cleats on.
When done stuff newspaper, then put on a boot dryer.

Quit peeing in them.
Get a small box fan and leave it on low.
Park your running and biking shoes in front of it when you're done running or riding. They'll dry out prior to your next use.

Stop sniffing your shoes. No good can come from that.

Yeah, its either that or the fact that he pisses on them. I guess we'll never know.
