this is a tough one. we'll start with bevan docherty, only because he seemed to be everywhere on the planet, racing something or other, throughout 2007. this is what i can find of his results, tho i'm sure there are quite a few i'm missing.
4th Mooloolaba World Cup (Mooloolaba, QLD, AUS)
2nd HyVee World Cup (Des Moines, IA)
1st Edmonton World Cup (Edmonton, CAN)
2nd Ishigaki World Cup (Ishigaki, JPN)
2nd Escape from Alcatraz (San Fransisco, CA)
7th Life Time Fitness Triathlon (Minneapolis, MN)
6th Salford World Cup (Salford, GBR)
9th Triathlon World Championships (Hamburg, GER)
3rd Toyota U.S. Open Triathlon (Dallas, TX)
3rd Beijing World Cup (Beijing, CHN)
5th Xterra World Champs (Maui, HI)
1st New Zealand Triathlon Champs (Wellington, NZ)
what impresses about bevan is that he's not just a jack of all trades, he's very, very good at ITU racing. he's currently 4th ranked in the BG World Cup and this, though he finds time to race several or many no-draft races, and also slid in his schedule a 5th at Xterra worlds. i'm sure there are other off-road triathlons he's raced, though i don't know of them. what i don't know is, did he race long? that is, longer than short? and did he do a du or 2? any help in that regard is appreciated.
of course, he's got to overcome the results posted on and off-road by chris legh, as well as the summer/winter combo results of nic lebrun.
speaking of off-road and on, there's xterra specialist olivier marceau who's also posted an early 7th in the lisbon world cup this year and later on showed up to join a packed field in beijing to earn a respectable 14th.
