Marc, I understand that the weather at the end of May could be dicey and I would love to do your trip and Etape du Tour some time, its just not in the cards next year. I'm stuck doing something in May and if I do it, the best time is last week due to weather...any earlier and you end up with days like Andy Hampsten dropping the Giro field while winning at the top of the Gavia :-)
