I just saw the movie, 'Supersize Me'
Holy Toledo!!
I think for Americans especially the film will be one strange and sobering trip (and great motivation to lose weight).
I would highly recommend the movie. First of all, it was damn funny. But it was also disturbing. The film focused on the McDonalds machine and how literally dangerous its food is--the movie followed a man who ate McDonalds food straight for 30 days and ended up literally putting his life at risk.
But the movie actually covered the profoundly disfunctional eating habits of Americans (and really the whole world) and what might be the causes. It is also a great (and funny) family film, as it has positive and powerful messages for parents and kids about school, food, and the STUNNING impact of commercial messages in the media.
You will have a great laugh, and you will NEVER look at fast food in the same light again.
Where would you want to swim ?
