Continental Ultra Sport: Not Good

One ride, one flat in each tire, front and rear. And the wire is a PITA. Better luck on the next ride hopefully...

Bummer, I've been using them for years, rarely more then 1 puncture flat a year and I also commute on the same tires I train on; UltraRace (has the "safety system") as well since Performance will price match.

I have Continental Ultra Race tires on both of my bikes and they kick ass. I have put on about 2,500+ miles on them between the two bikes and haven't had any undo problems with them.

I also use Ultra Sports on my commuter bike and they have been pretty solid so far. I had a flat but that was mainly because the tube was old and not necessarily because of the tire.

With that being said, I am sorry to hear about your troubles, flat tires totally suck.

That sucks though about the ultra sports...i got ultra race on my ksyrium elites and they are great. Spend the extra few bucks and get nicer tires. I learned the hard way....you pay for what u get. sorry about your flat experience....sucks to be stuck on the side of the road changing it out...lol

Thank goodness it's the tires and not my user error. I've had these for a couple of months. First 5-6 weeks...no problem. Over the past 2-1/2 to 3 weeks, there hasn't been a ride that I haven't flatted at least once. It was only yesterday that I finally came to realize it was the tires when the flat that I had revealed four punctures in the tube. Before I ditch them, any thoughts on if they'd be OK as a tire to use on a trainer?

What's the worse thing that can happen? You may burn through them quickly and ditch them then... I'd try it.

Yeah, it's a good use for them. I have had similar issues though not as severe as the above posters with consistent road use. Burn 'em up on the trainer.

Life's too short for cheap rubber. This applies to more than just bike tires, gentlemen.

ProBikeKit is selling them for $11.00 something a pop. Can't beat that. I got four to burn through on the trainer this winter. Gotta make weight!

Absolute garbage, the breaker is different than the Vectran and I have had a ton of flats on that tire as well. Get a pair of Gatorskins.
