how do you lower the carbon x armrests?
i saw the pics of the modified carbon x that francois is selling, and i can't figure out how he dropped the armrests on top of the base bar. can someone elaborate on the process?

thanks...

so you take off the ZB bracket (the one with the three mounting holes for the armrests) and the U-shaped brackets that would hold the extensions if mounted on top. okay... that's easy.

now what do you do with the two long bolts (~3") that hold the bottom U-shaped brackets which hold the extensions on the bottom of the wing? i doesn't appear that these would lay flush if you use them to mount the armrests.

what am i missing here?

i think i've got this, but there are a few inconsistencies...

1) i didn't have to enlarge any of the holes on the armcups, although i've read that other have had to. the bolts went through just fine.

2) here's the layering: 3" bolt goes through an added washer, the armcup, another washer, the basebar, and then the bottom U-bracket. there's only a mm or two sticking out from below the bracket. however, the bolt head resides about 5 or 6mm above the armcup, which seems rather odd. i've put the pad over it and it doesn't seem to protrude through the padding.

do these sound right?

Thats correct!!. Of course that there is another bolt that doesn´t go trough the armcup
