Farewell, Abici
Apparently, Abici is closing its doors. Check out the Road Bike Review (www.roadbikereview.com) classifieds - you can pick up a Time Machine frame for $225 and several road frames at rock bottom prices. Sorry to see them go under - they're nice looking bikes. Happy shopping.

now that gas prices are back down they'll probably start selling SUVs.

In all seriousness, I wish them the best, did business with them several years ago. Good peeps.

If that Time Machine had a steeper seat tube angle, I'd consider it.

Clark has had a really crappy year. I personally hope the best for him and consider myself LUCKY to get one of the last painted Time Machines.

He's not leaving the business because he's "tired of doing bikes"......

I was tempted to pull the trigger on a Time Machine, but decided to hold off. Might put that money toward a cross bike instead.

What are you planning for paint? DIY?

haven't decided... I was thinking one of three options:

1) flat black

2) gloss black

or

3) grey/white/black urban camo

Probably use a local painter or ~try~ to do it myself...

My usual painter (in TX) recently quit. :-/

Anyone having a problem with Craig not shipping the frame? I paid him last tuesday and he responded last week "we're processing orders as fast as possible, be patient". As of this morning, the frame has still not shipped. In looking up reviews about abici, it seems like people love the bikes, but find that the customer service is an abomination. I hope I don't have to worry about my 525 - E

I had the issue that they wouldn't send a tracking number, but the frames showed up in exactly one week, and I'm in miami so opposite coast.

I ordered a Time Machine frame on the 11th. I emailed Clark yesterday and got the following reply: "We have been very busy. Your frame will arrive soon."

We'll see. If it's not here by Friday, I guess I'll call Citicard.

I ordered a Time Machine. Got it two days later. Nothing but frame, as advertised. Got a derailleur hanger from (www.derailleurhanger.com) very helpful. Could someone please let me know about the seattube plug. I have no clue and can find no info out there. Clark is up to his ears I'm sure and is not the fastest at replying at the best of times I hear.
