I just sold mine :-)

They only fitted my old 650 tri bike and I ride 700 now. TriSpouse said they were worth half a motor for the 1960's wooden boat I'm restoring, so I sold them. I'm still allowed to be sad, right?

Which ones did you have? I'm pretty happy with mine but I can't speak for how aero they are. They sound cool though.

Depending who you talk to or believe, the HED3 is still the best all round aero front wheel. Even those that argue the point will concede they are still very very good wheels. Yes, you are right, they do sound awesome as well.

Why would anyone go cheap Chinese when you can get complete flo wheel sets for less than $500?

How long have I had the wheels?
The latter half of the 2015 season. Put about 600 miles on them. Ridding them on my commute and group rides.

So you've been using wheels for the latter half of the 2015 season from a 'company' that did not exist until November 1st, 2015? That's a pretty nice pre-release for someone whom just happened to randomly find them. Awesome cafepress and public domain products.

I have some Chinese carbon tubulars. What I did was wet sand the brake track by doing the following:

Insert #320 wet-sandpaper on the brake pads and go do several stops while riding in the rain. Trued up the braking. Also a de-glossed surface modulates better because there isn't a spike in friction/heat generation. A glossy surface has no grip followed by grab as it heats & sticks.

At least this is my experience. I wouldn't recommend the above unless you know what you are doing!
