Hello terra bikes,
I saw the white small Zipp 650c with black large beam frame set posted in PICBI page. I like it very much and I was hoping that you are selling it. If you decided to sell it or not, please let me know, thank.

Hello all! My first post here. I am Zipp 2001 owner and have been since around 1994. Had it since new and almost finished rebuilding it. Hope to race time trials on it soon. Will try to get some pics to show you all. I see that maxtbicycle is a collector of these and had a good knowledge of them. Its a long shot but does anyone have a scan or pdf of the manual (I never got one when I bought the frame) I would also want to know if anyone knows the sizes of the bolts, for spares, etc. Many Thanks!

Nice job, I am glad you did not alter the frame set by drilling and cutting the frame apart.

Beautiful done and you took a nineties frame into the future with adding the fork and groupset.
I have a zipp 2001 as well and wonder what adjustments you made to the headtube to fit the felt fork and the crankset. Can you shine some light on this since i also have a felt bayonet fork lying around and got inspired by your pic to rebuilt the bike.

Thanks in advance,

It seems like you took the original decals off, if so and why? Do you still have the original aluminum fork? I would love to buy it from you.

know you were asking about the felt but this is from my friend that helped me build the Joker.

"I put a regular 1inch threadless fork on the joker.
I do not know how the guy did the felt fork without seeing specs on fork and zipp frame.
My guess would be if the felt steer is longer then the zipps headtube with headset, it should work.
But remember the zipp Is a 1 inch head tube."

Thanks!
I spent way too much time on this bike! lol
For the fork to work: I extended the fairing with two bayonet forks. cut one up and used it and carbon/epoxy that to the other fork.
But if you have an extra large fork then you may not need to do this. Pain in the ass but it worked! even crashed my bike in Thailand and the fork held up nicely! lol
The head set is 1" just like your zip's
just replace it with a pressed headset.

Crankset? well it's just an old english thread so you can use any crank you want.

Hope this helps!
Cheers.

Zipp 2001
Dura ace 8-speed crankset & derailleurs, gripshift, Scott aero bars, Mavic base bar, original rear brake with carbon shroud, Cane Creek 200 SL front brake, Zipp 440's
I bought the bike 4 years ago and spent 2 years restoring it. Sadly too small for me but I did use it once in a sprint tri.

Had my 2001 from new and has seen little activity. Now takes pride of place inside and appears to one of relative few left around.
