yeah, it goes by frequency i.e.: # of bevvies. Sorry but seems the easiest way to total it up.

I'm also in, but I only noticed the challenge today, so I've missed 2 days of drinking ... Bummer!
I'll have to do some catch up tonight :o) !

Dude... Someone needs man up and post their drinks on the drinking part of the forum... I'm thinking a gift certificate to AA would be an appropriate gift for me about now. At least I have some mileage too.

LOL yeah... that's part of the point of this particular challenge - December is a horrible time for over-drinking. Once you actually keep track of it, you'll be quite surprised.

How's everyone doing so far? I see a lot of mileage... and drinkage... ;-)

I had a crummy week this week - too many family or work commitments got in the way of running (but not drinking)...

Had a good week last week ~55m and now enjoying a "taper" of about no miles this week prior to the Dallas White Rock Marathon Sunday. The challenge was helping get something in every day of the week last week!

Pants, I wish I had your discipline. My drinking total is pathetic.

So pissed I missed this thread...it would have made me run a bit more. That said, I will exceed 200 easily on the drinks alone for the month. In fact, I would estimate I'm already well over 100 for the month. Just checked training peaks and I've got 40 miles of running in the month...no sweat. This should be a 300 drinks and 100 run miles deal, I bet there would be less takers for sure. Maybe even a 300 drinks, 300 wings, 100 miles run.... Love the idea Andy Pants!

I am tapering for a marathon so the running is down, but the drinking is up!

Well I'm really behind with the drinking, but I'm halfway with the running.
Thanks for starting this challenge, this is a great way for me to become fit again after doing almost nothing for 1,5 years

It's important to focus on what really matters... like the office party last night... and the other office party tonight... ;-)

Thought I'd bump this thing and see how it's going for everyone. I'm definitely a lame-ass on the booze so far. My visit to New Orleans next week should help remedy that situation though. I'll lose track of the drink tally but will keep my estimates conservative.

My 2 office xmas parties last weekend helped the drink tally but killed my mileage... Back at it now and hoping to log 60k+ next week (which is a lot for me)...

NOLA should keep you from running too much LOL ;-)

Just got back from a marathon in Florida and a week at an all inclusive resort in Jamaica. Drinking numbers went WAY up. I just entered a single number under duration rather than 10 separate entries each day. So total is 143 for drinks (2 hours 23 minutes).

Now the question is do I try to get the last 57 drinks in three days or 43 miles to hit 200?

Well, I entered your challenge finally. Won't get to 200 miles, but at least 200K. My best drinking days were back between 1986-1990. These days i can only compete on espresso consumption....

LOL, I am surprised that I'm in 3rd for the drinking challenge - esp since I am down from last Dec's tally!!!

Hey, 200K is better than a kick in the pants, right? ;-)

Got the 200mi run part... But falling short on the drinks 143. Had to choose to run while sick or drink while sick last 4 days. Wont be an epic wrap up in the drinking portion for this guy. Happy New Year!

Got to just over 200 mi despite tapering for and recovering from a mid-Dec marathon. So I can't complain too much about the mileage. The drinking was shameful though. My planned late Dec trip to New Orleans was canceled. That set me back probably 50+ drinks.

Anyway, the challenge was fun and I look forward to doing it again next December. Congrats to all that hit their goals (miles and/or booze).

Happy New Year to everyone!

I finished with

14 days running, only 48 miles
19 days drinking, only 238 drinks (that is likely a conservative number)

My running was a bit limited by an injury and then travelling back to the UK for xmas and came in at 160.5 miles.

My drinking was relatively unhampered by these factors and came in at 91.

That leaves me behind you by quite a bit, my liver is in awe sir!

Yeah some pretty impressive #s...

64 drinks (that seems way too low)
220km (also lower than I wanted but work + a cold made it difficult to get the miles in).
