Colorado STrs Please Help: Stolen Hooker
On Thursday October 18 my Hooker was stolen out of the back of my office. They came right in the back door, and helped themselves - they had to know it was there.

Besides being a Hooker (not too many of them around) it had a rather unique paint job !! It was black with red true-fire flames that jumped out in the sun.

The pictures don't show the HED bars that had just been put on. The pictures show the Race Wheels. When it was stolen, I had a PT rear. Also on it was the new Polar Wireless Power unit.

I'm offering a reward if anyone can find it. Please call the Englewood Police department at 303-761-7410, case number 07-12372.

Thanks for you eyes!!

I'll keep my eyes peeled, Dave. I'd alert all the LBSs as well, if I were you. And if I see anybody rolling that thing around Wash Park, I'll tackle 'em!

That sucks :(

Wow!

I am sorry for you, after all the time invested in this unique bike! I will keep my eyes peeled as well. I would contact most of the front range shops( Fly bike shop, bicycle village, Wheat Ridge cycles etc.) in case the moronic thief brings it in for service somewhere. Craigslist is a likely spot for the bike too.

Thanks, I'm in the process of trying to get to the local pawn shops around the Federal/Evans area. I don't think the thief really knew what he stole. I think he is just looking for something to sell for quick cash.

The other part of the story is that they got into my car, stole my wallet, and got about $2k off of my Credit cards. The CC companies, have been great about it.

I had to drop out of GFT on Sunday because of illness, and had just signed up for Silverman !! I had to go out on Friday, and get a new ride.

I forgot about that coming up.

That would be the place to sell a bike like that.

Thanks for keeping an eye out.

Dave,

I am also going to be at Veloswap with a gang of bikers. I mentioned Fly Bike shop as they are on Ebay, and trade a lot of interesting used bikes. There are bound to be others in town with similar businesses. I wonder if you thought of making a flyer that could be distributed locally to the service areas of each shop?

Wow, a Hooker with a flame paint job? There can't be too many of those around! Hope you get your precious back ...

Dave-

That sucks!!! I'll be at veloswap as well and will keep my eyes open. PM me your tele just in the strange case that I do see it there. I'll also be looking for it on the roads around Boulder. In CO with a bike like this though I would have to gather that it is going to be sold. Put an APB to as many pawn/bike shops as you can. Best of luck getting your HOOKER back... you sure this is something your wife would want??? ;-)

Thanks for the eyes up north. I filed a police report with the Englewood Department. Does that network through all the departments in the area?

Thanks

That sucks!! The guy most likely does not know what a unique bike he has. Sorry, hope you get it back.

I totally agree with you. Based on the demographic around our office, whoever stole it, does not have a clue what went into that bike !!

thanks

I've got two buds keeping an eye out in the Wash park area as well. God help the poor bastard if my friend Dave comes across him. Oh, um by the way, if you get it back, make sure you let us know post haste. I'd hate to have Dave "Terry Tate" your ass while you're out riding thinking you were the thief.

I keep all my bikes up on hooks and locked up, but one. Thats my sacrificial lamb. It's an old Stumpjumper but it looks good. I hope they would just grab it and go.

The bike got stolen from out of our office. Normally it is locked on top of my car. It was there because the weather had been crappy, and I did not want it out in the rain!!
