i know this is a long shot, but i`m in love with cycling shoes designed specifcally for cages. I had a pair a while back and absoultley loved them but unfortunatley they fell apart....anybody know of a brand that makes these?

Are you talking about the old leather soled Vitorria or Cinelli type shoes that you have to nail on the cleats? I think the E-bay would be the only place for those. Businesscycles .com sometimes has some plastic bottom shoes with cleat holes. I have some Shimano cleats for my track bike that use the standard three hole pattern that is on my SIDI shoes.
