so i just got a motobeacane mirage pro and i just finished putting it all together since it came only partly assembled but now the front derailer rubs on the chain or it doesnt rub but then it wont shift down to the smaller gear can anyone maybe explain on what i am doing wrong or something any advise would be very appreciated

Shift your rear der into the large cog.....shift the front der into the small ring........turn the limit screw on the front der until the rubbing noise stops.............done. But.......only turn the screw JUST far enough that the rubbing stops.....too far and the chain will fall off the ring to the inside when you shift to the small ring.
